Scope of Scientific Interests:

• theory of finance,
• real and financial sectors of the economy,
• financial market as a component of the financial system,
• financial support for economic development,
• investment and innovative development,
• fiscal potential of the financial and non-financial sectors.

Education:

• 1968 – Kyiv Institute of National Economy named after D.S. Korotchenko , specialty “ Finance and Credit” , qualification – economist.
• In 1976, she defended her PhD thesis on the topic “Profit and ways to improve its distribution (using the example of the knitting industry of the Ukrainian SSR)” (specialty 08.00.05 “Economics, organization of management and planning of the national economy”) at the specialized Academic Council of the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.
• In 1988, she received the title of senior research associate in the specialty 08.00.21 - economics, planning and organization of management of industry and its branches.
• On April 28, 2004, the certification board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine awarded PIB the academic title of associate professor.
• In 2004, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Mechanism of financial support for innovative development of the economy of Ukraine” (specialty 08.04.01 “Finance, monetary circulation and credit”) at the specialized Academic Council of the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the NAS of Ukraine.
• On December 16, 2004, the certification board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine awarded Svitlana Vasylivna Onyshko the academic title of Professor of the Department of Public Finance.

Scientific and pedagogical activities:

• 1968-2000 ‑and engineer, postgraduate student, research fellow, senior research fellow of the Department of Economics of Science, Institute of Economics, NAS of Ukraine.
• 2000-2005 Deputy Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the National University of the State Police of Ukraine .‑
• 2005-2010 ‑Professor of the Department of Financial Markets of the University of Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
• 2005-2021 . gg ‑. Head of the Department of Financial Markets at the University of the Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
• 2021 ‑to present ‑Professor of the Department of Financial Markets and Technologies of the State Tax University. 

Social and Public activities:

• Honorary title "Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine" (Decree of the President of Ukraine dated January 20, 2018 No. 11/2018).
• Scholarship holder of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for outstanding achievements in the field of higher education ( Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated September 29, 2021 No. 1174-р.).
• Member of the Expert Council on Economics of the State Accreditation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2010–2012).
• Participation in expert commissions of the Ministry of Education and Science on issues of assessing the effectiveness of higher education institutions in terms of conducting scientific (scientific and technical) activities in scientific areas (2017-2019).
• Scientific Secretary of the Specialized Academic Council of the University (2000-2021).
• Head of the specialized Academic Council of the University (2023)
• Member of the organizing committee of the 1st stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the disciplines "Insurance", "Financial Security", "Investment".
• Member of the jury of the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads in the academic disciplines "Insurance".
