On 18 October 2025, the State Tax University hosted a webinar that was part of the international initiative # ErasmusDays2025 initiative and implemented within the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module project: «Forming a sustainable interest in EU tax culture through the introduction of educational, scientific and communicative awareness-raising activities aimed at Ukrainian society».
On 18 October 2025, a webinar entitled «Tax Culture in EU Countries: Experience for Ukraine» will be held as part of the All-Ukrainian ErasmusDays2025. NEOinUkraine.
From 13 to 18 October, across Europe and the world, including Ukraine, a series of events and activities focused on the values of the European Union will be held as part of the global initiative #ErasmusDays2025. This year, ErasmusDays is taking place under the slogan: #ErasmusDays2025: ‘Live our values — inspire the future.’
The leaders of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module Project: «Forming a sustainable interest in EU tax culture through the introduction of educational, scientific and communicative awareness-raising activities aimed at Ukrainian society» are also joining the global initiative #ErasmusDays2025.
On 18 October 2025, a webinar will be held during which participants will learn about the experience of shaping tax culture in EU countries and will be able to take part in a discussion, express their own ideas and visions for building partnerships between taxpayers and state authorities and government bodies in Ukraine based on the European model.
On October 11, 2025, the State Tax University held regular classes of the elective course: “Tax Culture of EU Countries” as part of the EU Erasmus+ Project “Forming a sustainable interest in EU tax culture through the introduction of educational, scientific, and communicative awareness-raising activities aimed at Ukrainian society” 101125984 – TIEU – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH.
On September 26, 2025, the State Tax University of Ukraine hosted a scientific and practical round table “Topical Issues of Tax Culture Development in EU Countries: Experience for Ukraine.” The event was organized within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module project (101125984 — TIEU — ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH).
The round table brought together representatives of Ukrainian public authorities, civil society activists, members of NGOs in the field of taxation, business representatives, practicing professionals and experts in Ukrainian and European taxation, scholars, and university students.
The round table was opened by:
- Dmytro Ventskovskyi – Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical Work and Social Development of the State Tax University, PhD in Economics, Senior Research Fellow;
- Olena Mykhailova – Director of the Department of International Financial Projects of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, PhD;
- Serhiy Verlanov – Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine (2019–2020), PhD in Law;
- Ivan Romanov – Director of the Information and Reference Department of the State Tax Service of Ukraine;
- Volodymyr Kraievskyi – Dean of the Faculty of Taxation, Accounting and Auditing of the State Tax University, Doctor of Economics, Professor.
The participants discussed the current state of tax culture in Ukraine and EU member states, as well as the opportunities for implementing best European practices in the national system. Special attention was paid to building partnership relations between taxpayers and tax authorities.
The round table featured a series of presentations, including:
- Liudmyla Herasymenko, Vice-President of the Taxpayers Association of Ukraine – “Tax Consulting as a Way to Improve Tax Culture in EU Countries”;
- Dr. Wolfgang Boochs (Germany) and Iryna Petrova (STU) – “Tax Consulting as a Means of Improving Tax Culture and Discipline in Germany”;
- Liubov Kosovets, President of the Association of Outsourcing and Consulting Professionals of Ukraine – “Taxation in Professional Standards of Ukraine in the Context of EU Integration”;
- Tetiana Hromova (Poland) – “Digitalization of Relations Between Tax Authorities and Business: Experience for Ukraine”;
- Kateryna Ryzhenkova, Partner at “Klochkov and Partners” Law Firm – “The Current State of Tax Culture in Ukraine in the Context of EU Experience”;
- Dr. Janus Orłowski (Poland) – “Professional Culture of Tax Consultants in Poland”;
- Vitalii Smerdov, Director of the Chamber of Tax Consultants – “Tax Consulting: Where Is the Balance Between Legal Optimization and Tax Minimization?”
The round table became a platform for exchanging views and practices that will contribute to fostering a conscious attitude toward tax compliance and strengthening public trust in government authorities in Ukraine in line with the European model.







On 23 September 2025, as part of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module grant project «Fostering a sustainable interest in EU tax culture through educational, scientific and communication awareness-raising activities targeting Ukrainian society» (Grant Agreement No. 101125984 – TIEU), a guest lecture was given at the State University «Kyiv Aviation Institute» by Tetyana Tuchak, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Tax Administration at the State Tax University, on the topic «European approaches to tax policy: harmonisation and challenges».
