On February 18, 2026, the Scientific Library of the State Tax University hosted an event that left no one indifferent – the presentation of the «Living Stories of War» book series. This project serves as a unique chronicle of testimonies regarding the full-scale invasion and occupation.
This project is more than just paper and ink. It is the collective voice of people who have walked through hell yet preserved their inner light.
About the Project and Its Founder
The initiative was born in April 2022. Its author and dedicated leader is Olga Feshchenko (Dmytrenko) – a writer, philanthropist, and founder of the «Oberih Vidrodzhennia» (Amulet of Renaissance) Charitable Foundation based in Borodyanka.
The mission of the project: To preserve an authentic, emotional, and documented memory of the war through the personal stories of both civilians and military personnel. These are narratives of occupation and loss, but simultaneously, they are stories of incredible rebirth and resilience.

Creative Heritage
The university community had the opportunity to explore an impressive series of publications:
- The Trilogy: «The First Book of a Volunteer», «The Second Book of a Volunteer», and «Memory of the Soul. Ivankiv Region».
- Collections: «Lace of War» and «Lace of Victory».
- Recent Releases: «Every Tear Has Its Own Story» and «When the Roses Are Silent».
Each book is the result of the titanic efforts of volunteers, journalists, translators, and artists who are documenting history in the here and now.

Art That Speaks Without Words
A special highlight of the event was the art exhibition «When Colors Fade» by the renowned Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Rebrov. His works complemented the atmosphere of the event, visualizing the pain and hope described in the books.

We thank everyone in attendance for their heartfelt participation. We remember to prevail. We read so we never forget.
