General information
The Department of Management and Public Administration was established in December 2023 and has been keeping its chronicle since 2000 when the Department of Management was created within the structure of the Retraining and Advanced Training Center of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. Since 2004, the department has become university-wide. In 2006, it was renamed the Department of Financial Management, and in 2011, it became the Department of Management, following the receipt of a license to train bachelor's degrees in the field of 0306 "Management and Administration", specialization 6.030601 "Management". Since 2021, it has been renamed the Department of Social Philosophy and Management.
The achievements and experience of the Department in scientific research, educational, and organizational activities have brought glory to the University. The names of academic staff and their achievements are inscribed in golden letters in the history of the institution.
The continuity in the activities of the newly established Department of Management and Public Administration entails considering past experiences and reproducing them at a qualitatively new level.
The Department is headed by Mykola Husiatynskyi, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor.
Currently, the Department of Management and Public Administration provides the following programs:
- Bachelor's degree in the field of 073 "Management" with a specialization in "Hotel and Restaurant Business Management."
- Master's degrees in the fields of 073 "Management" with a specialization in "Project Management" and 281 "Public Administration and Administration" with a specialization in "Regional Management and Self-Government."
- Doctoral degrees in the field of 281 "Public Administration and Administration" with a specialization in "Public Administration and Administration."
Students enrolled in the "Hotel and Restaurant Business Management" program undergo a 2-month internship at Varna University (Bulgaria), specifically at the "Golden Sands" resort.
Graduates of the "Hotel and Restaurant Business Management" program can pursue positions such as:
- Restaurant or Hotel Manager
- Director (head) of an Enterprise
- Branch Director, Small Business Director
- Head of the marketing Department
- Restaurant or Hotel Supervisor

The Department has established a scientific section on management principles and the study of public administration and administration. The main focus of the section is to cultivate in students the ability to creatively approach problem-solving in organizational management, develop skills in performing managerial functions, foster the ability to make informed managerial decisions in various fields of activity, and achieve effectiveness in both enterprise goals and personal objectives.
The scientific activities of the Department's Academic Staff are directed towards researching current issues in the fields of management and public administration and administration.
The Department's team successfully collaborates with colleagues from higher education institutions in Lithuania, Poland, the Slovak Republic, as well as with domestic academic and educational institutions such as the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, government bodies, local self-government authorities, and other leading domestic and international educational institutions.
