Student scientific circle "SoftEng Research Hub"

The student scientific circle "SoftEng Research Hub" works to create conditions for in-depth study by students of modern approaches to software development, development of practical skills of project and team work, preparation of students for participation in olympiads, competitions and real commercial projects, assistance in professional orientation and building a career path in IT, as well as involvement of talented youth in scientific and research activities in the field of computer science and software engineering. Student scientific circle "Irpin Grid"

The department operates a student scientific circle "Irpin Grid" with the aim of involving talented students in global scientific research through the BOINC volunteer computing platform, in-depth study of modern information technologies by students, acquisition of skills in working with high-performance systems and application of the acquired knowledge in practice. General Information

The Department of Computer and Information Technologies and Systems (CITS) was established on December 1, 2021. However, the department's activities effectively trace back to 1997, when the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering was founded. It was created on the basis of the Cyclical Commission of Informatics and Computer Engineering of the Financial and Economic College, under the leadership of V.M. Antonenko, Candidate of Technical Sciences (Ph.D.), Associate Professor.

The CITS Department is a structural unit of the Faculty of Finance and Digital Technologies and provides educational activities in more than 50 academic disciplines for full-time and part-time students.

The department prepares specialists at the first (Bachelor's) and second (Master's) educational levels in specialty 122 "Computer Science". Educational and professional programs:

Bachelor: Computer Technologies and Systems, Software Engineering, Digital Design and Computer Graphics.

Master: Computer Intelligent Technologies.

The Department of Computer and Information Technologies and Systems is headed by Mykhailo M. Filonenko, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (Ph.D.), Associate Professor. The main areas of scientific research include: information technology, nanotechnology, diagnostics of nanomaterials, and the history of science and technology.

The department's faculty actively participates in international and inter-university scientific and practical conferences, the writing of scientific articles and textbooks, and the development of academic disciplines. The department hosts various interactive scientific events for students, inter-departmental scientific webinars and seminars. Furthermore, future researchers, under the guidance of the department's faculty, participate in diverse scientific and practical conferences, academic olympiads, and other events.

The CITS department has integrated two international educational programs into its curriculum: Cisco Networking Academy and Oracle Academy. These programs significantly expand the learning opportunities for students and faculty. Faculty members of the department hold instructor status for these programs and are authorized to award certificates to students who successfully complete the specialized courses and pass the corresponding exams.

The work of the department is based on the principles of scientific rigor, self-development, humanism, democracy, personal responsibility, and transparency in the discussion of matters within its competence.
