General Information

The Department of Computer and Information Technologies and Systems (KITS) was established on December 1, 2021. The activity of the department actually began in 1997, when on the basis of the cyclic commission of informatics and computer engineering of the College of Finance and Economics under the leadership of Ph.D., Associate Professor. The Department of Informatics and Computer Science was established.

The Department of KITS is a structural subdivision of the Faculty of Finance and Digital Technologies and provides educational activities in more than 50 academic disciplines for full-time and part-time students.

The department trains specialists of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) educational levels in the specialty 122 "Computer Science". Educational and professional programs:

Information Control Systems and Technologies (by industry);

Digital Design Technologies.

Master:

Information Control Systems and Technologies in Economics.

The Department of Computer and Information Technologies and Systems is headed by Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Mykhailo Mykolaiovych Filonenko. The main direction of scientific research: information technology, nanotechnology, diagnostics of nanomaterials, history of science and technology.

The staff of the department takes an active part in international and inter-university scientific and practical conferences, writing scientific articles, textbooks, and developing academic disciplines. The department conducts a variety of communicative scientific events with students, interdepartmental scientific webinars and seminars, and future scientists under the guidance of teachers of the department take part in various scientific and practical conferences, olympiads, etc.

On the basis of the KITS department, two international educational programs are being introduced into the educational process: Cisco Networking Academy and Oracle Academy, which significantly expands educational opportunities for students and teachers. Teachers of the department have the status of instructors of these programs and the right to award certificates to students who have successfully completed specialized courses and confirm their knowledge in exams.

The work of the department is based on the principles of science, self-development, humanism, democracy, personal responsibility and publicity of discussion of issues within its competence.
