The State Tax University co-organized the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ukraine, Bulgaria, EU: Economic, Financial, Technical and Social Development Trends". The event took place at the University "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" in Burgas, Bulgaria.
The conference was attended by representatives from over 20 universities in Bulgaria, Ukraine, Poland, Georgia, Moldova, and Romania.
Dmytro Serebrianskyi, Acting Rector of STU, opening the event, emphasized the importance of integrating Ukrainian science into the European academic space. He presented the university's achievements despite the challenges of the war, outlined strategic directions for international cooperation and training specialists for key sectors of the economy. He also shared plans for the further development of the university.
Oleksandra Smirnova, Vice-Rector for scientific work, supplemented the speech, emphasizing that such conferences are a platform for professional dialogue that combines experience, academic expertise, and a shared vision of a future based on knowledge and cooperation.
During the plenary session and section discussions, STU representatives presented a number of scientific reports that sparked lively discussion. The conference covered five thematic areas: national economy, finance and banking, audit and accounting, modern computer technologies, and humanitarian and legal aspects in the context of European integration.
The event became a platform for discussing a wide range of issues related to Ukrainian-Bulgarian relations. Every year, it brings together scientists, lecturers, experts, and researchers who analyze common history, cultural exchanges, and modern political, economic, and educational ties between Ukraine and Bulgaria.
The conference deepened academic dialogue and contributed to the formation of new research initiatives to strengthen international partnership. The results of the work will be published in collections of scientific papers.
As Nadiia Davydenko, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Digital Technologies at STU, noted, participation in the forum demonstrates the university's stable presence in the international academic arena, the growth of its scientific potential, and its openness to multidisciplinary cooperation.
