Faculty of Finance and Digital Technologies
The Faculty of Finance and Digital Technologies was established in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine dated 04.11.2021 №241-01-21, which approved the Structure of the State Tax University, the successor of the University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, by reorganising and merging the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Banking and the Educational and Research Institute of Information Technologies.
The history of the Faculty dates back to 1996 as a financial and economic structural unit created to provide a flexible and innovative educational system for the training of highly qualified specialists in finance, banking and insurance, management, public administration, competent and competitive in both national and international labour markets.
The faculty is headed by the D. of Economic Sciences, Professor Nadiya Mykolayivna Davydenko
The Faculty of Finance and Digital Technologies is an educational centre for the acquisition and development of professional competencies in public and corporate finance, financial markets, financial digital technologies and instruments, banking, insurance, and stock markets. The faculty maintains a balance of traditional and innovative approaches in the provision of educational services. The gradual digitalisation of the educational process at the faculty reflects the modernisation of the educational environment.
Student-centredness and personal development of students and teaching staff are the basis of the School's activities. The theoretical, practical and research components of knowledge acquisition are ensured by effective interaction of stakeholders, support from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, other institutions and organisations.
The values of the School are professionalism, patriotism, integrity, spirituality, partnership, preservation of traditions, and promotion of human potential.
Professional teaching of disciplines at the departments is provided by highly professional research and teaching staff, including 17 Doctors of Sciences and 39 Candidates of Sciences, who together provide training for more than 500 full-time students.
The Faculty consists of 4 graduate departments:
- public finance;
- financial markets and technology;
- Cybernetics and Applied Mathematics;
- computer and information technologies and systems.
and 2 training laboratories:
- Financial and economic research;
- digital projects.
The work of the Faculty is harmoniously combined:
- focus on training highly qualified specialists in the field of financial market analytics, corporate financial management, banking management and insurance, economic cybernetics, decision support systems and computer-integrated intelligent technologies;
- introduction of innovative information technologies that can ensure the professional development of higher education students, their quality professional training in the context of modern European education;
- improving research work with students of all levels of higher education;
- Expanding contacts and maintaining cooperation with domestic and foreign universities (more than 30 such agreements, in particular in Warsaw, Opole, Nowy Sącz, Katowice, Poland; Varna, Bulgaria Varna, Bulgaria; m. Batumi, Georgia; Zagreb, Croatia; Barcelona, Spain; and Genoa Italy, Paris and Angers, France and others), with leading international IT companies (Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle) and domestic computer companies to improve the professional experience of the Faculty's departments;
- formation of a cultural and professional environment and development of student self-government.
A special feature of the faculty is the holding of international scientific and practical conferences. Since 2007, a number of scientific and practical events have been organised and held in the following countries: Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Germany, Georgia, Spain, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Croatia. It has also become a good tradition to hold annual International Student Scientific and Practical Conferences, All-Ukrainian Competitions and Olympiads under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
In the 2021-2022 academic year, the Faculty initiated two powerful Scientific and Practical Congresses "Investment and Digital Assets: Regulatory Peculiarities and Specifics of Taxation" with the participation of leading Ukrainian and international experts.
In 2023, the Scientific and Practical Business Forum "Digital Transformation of the Financial Sector of Ukraine" was held, bringing together more than 400 participants.
