As part of the graduation ceremonies for bachelor's degree students of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Technologies, Sports and Rehabilitation, Zhan Beleniuk, a prominent Ukrainian athlete, Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, and People's Deputy of Ukraine, visited the State Tax University.
During the visit, the honored guest congratulated the graduates on a significant milestone in their lives and wished them confidence, perseverance, and an active civic stance. In his address, he emphasized the importance of developing the younger generation as the driving force of society and the future of Ukraine.
— You stand on the threshold of new achievements. And it is precisely on your strength, responsibility, and professionalism that the future of our state depends. Education, sports, and moral guidelines — all this forms true leaders. These are the kind of people I saw today within the walls of the State Tax University, noted Zhan Beleniuk.
At the meeting, the acting rector of the STU, Dmytro Serebrianskyi, introduced the guest to the university's infrastructure, particularly its sports facilities, which are actively used for training specialists in physical culture, sports, and rehabilitation. During the visit, the acting rector spoke about the damage sustained by the university's infrastructure due to hostilities in 2022, as well as the systematic work on restoring the educational process, sports locations, and a safe environment for students. Among the plans are further modernization of the sports facilities, development of physical and psychological rehabilitation centers, and strengthening cooperation with leading sports organizations in the country.
Zhan Beleniuk's presence evoked genuine admiration among the youth. Students and graduates warmly welcomed the guest, expressed gratitude for his support, and actively took photos with the titled athlete as a memento.
The university community expressed sincere gratitude to Zhan Beleniuk for his visit, attention to the youth, and active stance in supporting education and sports.
