The Department of Accounting Technologies and Business Analytics was renamed in December 2021 and became part of the Faculty of Taxation, Accounting and Audit. The head of the department is Tetiana Payanok, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor. The department is the successor of the Department of Management Accounting, Business Analytics and Statistics, which was established at the Educational and Research Institute of Accounting, Analysis and Audit of the University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in May 2018 on the basis of the departments of Accounting and Analytical Knowledge Bases and Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics.

Head of the Department: Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Kraevskyi Volodymyr Mykolaiovych. Kraevskyi V.M., born in 1976, has been working at the University of the SFS of Ukraine since 2017. In 1994, he graduated from the Lubny Agricultural College of Accounting, and in 1999 - from the National Agrarian University, where he studied in graduate school from 1999 to 2002. A wide range of scientific and professional interests, which is outlined by the problems of accounting and analytical support of various levels of management, categories of the accounting system in the construction of the system of national accounts, macroeconomic management and analysis, macroeconomic statistics, etc., contributed to the defence of the dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences (2004) on the topic: "Accounting in the system of macroeconomic management", speciality 08.06.04 "Accounting, analysis and audit", and in 2017 - for the degree of
At present, the Department of Accounting Technologies and Business Analytics is tasked with training applicants for higher education of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) educational levels in the field of 071 "Accounting and Taxation", namely, specialisations "Accounting, Tax Audit and Business Analytics" and "Management Accounting and Business Analytics".
The Department of Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics, which became part of the Department of Management Accounting, Business Analytics and Statistics, was established in 2007 on the basis of the departments of Higher Mathematics and Mathematical Methods in Economics and Audit and Economic Analysis.
Svitlana Volodymyrivna Zaiets, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, was appointed Head of the Department. From 2014 to 2018 and from 2020 to the present, the department has been headed by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Tetiana Payanok.
In 1987, S.V. Zaiets graduated from the Faculty of Accounting and Economics of the Kyiv Institute of National Economy named after D.S. Korotchenko with a degree in Statistics. In 1999, she defended her PhD thesis on "Statistical analysis of social development of a region in transition (on the example of Irpin)". She has been working at the University since 1992.
Payanok T.M. graduated from the National University of the State Tax Service of Ukraine in 2006 with a degree in Accounting and Audit. In 2009, she defended her PhD thesis on "Efficiency of Value Added Tax and Directions of its Reform in Ukraine", speciality 08.00.08 "Money, Finance and Credit". She has been working at the University since 2001.
Under the leadership of S.V. Zayets and T.M. Payanok, the staff of the department successfully fulfilled their tasks in the following areas:
- introduction of testing in the educational process in all disciplines of the department;
- organising consultations when students of economic specialities prepare a section of their master's theses on modelling and forecasting of economic phenomena;
- creation of virtual laboratories that allow a group of students to carry out experimental research in real time during classroom sessions;
- Improving students' research work;
- revision of curricula and teaching materials in accordance with the new bachelor's, specialist's and master's degree programmes;
- Preparation of new generation textbooks and teaching aids, which include a two-level system of training specialists in the courses assigned to the department;
- preparation and improvement of the existing control and measurement tools for the level of current and residual knowledge of students in the disciplines of the department;
- development and implementation of modern technical means in the educational process: "from chalk and rags" to electronic means of displaying educational material;
- updating student research, diploma and course design, etc.
For this purpose, the department had an educational and research laboratory that facilitated the research work of students and postgraduates on economic and mathematical modelling of socio-economic processes; development and implementation of innovative programmes, individual courses and modules for students of economic specialities based on new educational technologies using applied programmes for processing large data sets, progressive forms of organising the educational process and active teaching methods that correspond to the modern world.

The Department of Accounting and Analytical Knowledge Bases was established at the University's Institute of Accounting, Analysis and Audit in October 2015 on the basis of the Department of Accounting.
Its first head was Doctor of Economics, Professor Volodymyr Osmyatchenko (from October 2015 to January 2017). Since January 2017, the department has been headed by Doctor of Economics, Professor Valerii Ilyin, and since November 2017 - by Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Volodymyr Kraevskyi.
The mission of the Department of Accounting and Analytical Knowledge Bases is to develop professional competencies and personal qualities of competitive, creative and innovative thinkers who are able to implement their knowledge and skills in the field of accounting information technology in the domestic and global labour market on the basis of:
- continuous modernisation of the educational process;
- implementation of advanced technologies and techniques;
- actively conducting research in the field of IT-enabled accounting;
- stimulating interest in creative and research work.
Since its establishment, the department has started training first-level (bachelor's) degree students in the field of 071 "Accounting and Taxation", specialisation "Information Resources in Accounting and Taxation" and in the same field, specialisation "Management of Information Resources in Accounting".
Gerald Groshek, a professor at the University of Redlands School of Business, USA, advised on the implementation of international educational standards and innovative development of the department.
