General information
Year of foundation: 1998. The Department of Civil Law was established at the School of Law in 1998 by dividing the Department of General Legal Disciplines. The Department was headed by Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Mykola Bondarenko. In 2005, the Department of International Law was merged with the Department of Civil Law and the department was renamed the Department of Civil and International Law, which existed until 2006. From 2006 to 2007, the Department was renamed again to the Department of Civil and Commercial Law Disciplines. In 2007, in connection with the creation of the Department of Economic and Legal Disciplines, the name of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines was returned to the Department. In 2015, as a result of structural changes at the University and in connection with the creation of the Educational and Research Institute of Law on the basis of the Law Faculty, the Department was renamed Civil Law and Procedure. On 1 December 2021, the Department received a new name - Civil Law and Process.
