Training laboratory for customs control and security, commodity expertise
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY
The Training Laboratory of Customs Control and Security, Commodity Expertise (hereinafter referred to as the Laboratory) is a structural subdivision of the Economic Security and Customs Institute of the State Tax University (hereinafter referred to as the University), whose functioning is aimed at ensuring and developing the scientific, educational and methodological component of specialist training, organising research and development work.
The activities of the laboratory are regulated by the current legislation, regulatory documents on higher education, the University Charter, orders of the Rector, orders of the Director of the Institute of Economic Security and Customs, the work plan of the laboratory, and this Regulation.
The Laboratory is created and liquidated by order of the Rector of the University.
The laboratory introduces modern pedagogical methods of assessing the knowledge of higher education students using information technology into the educational process.
The laboratory ensures the development of professional skills and abilities in accordance with educational and professional training programmes, conducting research within the framework of approved research topics and implementing research results in practical activities, student scientific societies/circles/clubs, etc.
The general management of the laboratory is carried out by the head, who is appointed and dismissed by the rector of the university. The requirements for a candidate for the position of head of the laboratory are regulated by the job description.
The Head of the Laboratory is subordinate to the Director of the Institute of Economic Security and Customs and is fully responsible for the results of its activities.
MAIN TASKS OF THE LABORATORY
The main tasks of the Training Laboratory of Customs Control and Security, Commodity Expertise are:
- Providing conditions for laboratory, practical and seminar classes, training and production practices on:
- analysing the current state of the raw materials and energy base of the most important industries for the Ukrainian economy and identifying priority areas for their development;
- researching the range of industrial products;
- Determining the technical and economic performance of an industrial enterprise and researching possible ways to minimise costs;
- ability to assess the economic, social and environmental performance of sectors of the national economy.
- Assessment of consumer properties and quality indicators of raw materials and finished products;
- identification and determination of goods falsification;
- setting a class or group of goods;
- determination of the name and affiliation of the goods (unknown object), in particular, to products (substances) whose import/export is restricted or prohibited;
- analysing the product's compliance with the quality characteristics and technical description;
- detecting deviations of product quality indicators from standard values;
- establishing the UKTZED code for the correct calculation of customs duties and other payments;
- the ability to independently update and supplement knowledge, improve skills, and acquire professional skills.
- Systematic updating and improvement of the educational and laboratory facilities, technical teaching aids, computerisation and informatisation of the educational process, provision of conditions for professional research by teachers and students of the University.
- Provision of conditions for theoretical and experimental research, research/design and development work in the scientific areas of the department.
- Creation of safe working conditions in the laboratory in accordance with the requirements of applicable law.
