The trade union organization of our educational institution dates back to 1921, when the Ukrainian Peat Technical School was established.

From 1921 to January 1996, the labor collective of the college cooperated with the trade union committee of the Ministry of Local Industry, Housing and Communal Services. By the Constituent Congress of the Trade Union of Employees of the State Tax Administration of Ukraine of June 22, 1998, the trade union of the Ukrainian Financial and Economic Institute was included in the single trade union of employees of the State Tax Administration of Ukraine. The trade union of the educational institution at that time consisted of 716 members.

During the existence of the trade union organization, the chairmen of the trade union committee were: P.F. Andrushko, O.I. Sokolnikov, V.P. Vetrova, E.O. Savinov, F.F. Volevatenko, A.E. Moroz, Y.I. Lyashenko, M.M. Nedashkivsky, V.I. Sapatsynsky, T.V. Danchenko, L. S. Vorobyova, V. V. Brishtina.

Since 2018, the trade union committee of the university's trade union organization has been headed by Maryna Kitchenko, acting deputy dean for educational and organizational work of the Faculty of Taxation, Accounting and Audit.

The trade union committee consists of 23 members: L.V. Onuchak, O.V. Redych, O.V. Gladchenko, N.V. Moskalenko, I.V. Hrytsiuk, D.S. Pilevych, I.I. Malynskyi, S.A. Ryabina, N.S.Panasyuk, M.M. Hornich, S.Y. Tsymbalyuk, O.P. Panchuk, S.A. Suprunenko, O.A. Yarova, N.V. Gurina, T.I. Dyachenko, O.V. Gorda, O.A. Pavliukh.

The Primary Trade Union Organization of the employees of the National University of the State Tax Service of Ukraine is a part of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Employees of the State Tax Service of Ukraine. Today, the trade union of the educational institution includes 367 members.

The main tasks of the university trade union are to protect labor, social and economic rights and interests, and to defend the spiritual, social and cultural rights and interests of the union members.

The trade union, in cooperation with the university management, develops areas of social development of the university; improvement of working conditions; material and medical services; distribution of funds; participates in resolving issues of remuneration, working hours and rest; agrees on vacation schedules, prepares a draft and monitors the implementation of the Collective Agreement of the State Pedagogical University.

The priority area of the trade union's activities is the social component and health improvement of the employees and their children. To this end, it organizes summer recreation for adults and children in sanatoriums, boarding houses, rest homes, and children's health camps in Zakarpattia, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Poltava, and Prykarpattia regions.

The university's trade union organization plans to increase its credibility among the members of the labor collective by taking full account of the problems and needs of each union member.

The reporting and election meeting for the re-election of members of the trade union committee from structural units and the election of the chairman of the tax office is scheduled for June 15, 2023 at the STAU Conference Complex at 14:00 with the invitation of representatives of the Central Council of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Employees of the State Tax Service.
