On 11.04.2025, the State Tax University completed classes on an optional course: «Taxation and the EU Common Tax Policy» in the second year of the EU Erasmus+ Project «Building a Sustainable Interest in EU Tax Culture through the Implementation of Educational, Scientific and Communication Outreach Activities Focused on Ukrainian Society» 101125984 - TIEU - ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH (Grant Agreement No. 101125984 -TIEU).

Lectures and seminars were delivered by the project implementers: Volodymyr Andrushchenko, Professor of the Department of Tax Administration, and Tetiana Tuchak, Associate Professor of the Department of Tax Administration. Classes were held online from 01.03.2025 to 11.04.2025 according to the schedule on the SPU MOODLE platform for full-time second (master's) degree students of the Faculty of Taxation, Accounting and Audit; Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Technologies, Sports and Rehabilitation; and the Educational and Research Institute of Law.

Students will study the experience of EU countries in the formation of a common tax policy and the peculiarities of the work of tax authorities in EU countries in establishing partnerships with taxpayers. The knowledge gained in this course will allow students to better understand the peculiarities of the EU as a fiscal and solidarity union of states, the specifics of the EU budget and the areas of harmonisation of direct and indirect taxation in the EU. The knowledge gained will contribute to the European integration processes in Ukrainian society, which will generally increase the level of tax discipline and the efficiency of tax payment in Ukraine.
