On March 26, 2026, at the initiative of the Department of Management and Public Administration, the State Tax University hosted the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Online Conference “Current Issues of Management and Public Administration in Modern Globalization Processes.” The event brought together representatives of academia, education, and the practical sector. In total, 76 participants took part in the conference, and 131 abstracts from representatives of 48 higher education institutions across Ukraine were submitted to the conference proceedings.

The conference has become a continuation of the established scientific tradition of the Department of Management and Public Administration, aimed at fostering academic dialogue, supporting young researchers, and promoting modern management approaches. The conference was structured around three thematic sections:

  • management and project management in the context of globalization;
  • public administration: current challenges and development vectors;
  • global issues of modernity: socio-humanitarian dimension.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Dmytro Ventskovskyi, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Social Development of the State Tax University, and Nataliia Zykun, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Technologies, Sports and Rehabilitation. They emphasized the importance of scientific and practical dialogue in conditions of uncertainty.

During the plenary session, a range of relevant presentations was delivered, covering issues such as digital transformation of business processes, the development of displaced communities, social losses caused by the war, transformation of public administration, project management, and international cooperation.

In her presentation, Professor Olesia Suntsova highlighted the role of digital communications in the transformation of business processes, while Vitalii Kovalenko, a representative of the Hirska City Military Administration, addressed urgent issues related to displaced communities, emphasizing the importance of preserving the socio-economic potential of territories.

 

The issues raised by the representative of the community were further developed in the presentation by Professor Marianna Kichurchak from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, who presented the results of an analysis of Ukraine’s social losses in the context of war.

The plenary session demonstrated a wide range of scientific approaches to understanding contemporary socio-economic and managerial challenges. A relevant model for territorial recovery was presented by PhD in Management (Project Management) Svitlana Rusanova, who introduced the concept of a smart port city as a project management tool for the reconstruction of port areas, emphasizing the importance of integrating innovative approaches into post-war recovery. The practical aspects of international project activities were highlighted by Valentyn Balashkevych, an expert with over 13 years of experience in taxation and project management and a project manager in an international financial and legal holding.

An important example of the interaction between business and grant programs was presented by Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Business and Management at King Danylo University, Olha Romanko.

Issues of innovation infrastructure development were addressed by PhD student of the State Tax University Oleksandr Kolosov, while the topic of strategic management in a global environment was presented by Bachelor’s student of the State University of Trade and Economics Kateryna Loichenko.

As a result of the dynamic discussions, each participant had the opportunity not only to present their research findings but also to engage in discussions on managerial challenges, exchange experiences, and share perspectives with representatives of various academic and practical fields.

We sincerely thank all participants for their active involvement, insightful presentations, and meaningful scientific discussion, as well as for their contribution to the development of management science and practice. We invite researchers, students, and practitioners to join the next conference, which will traditionally be held in March next year.
