Can artificial intelligence become a reliable partner in learning—and where is the line between smart assistance and academic misconduct?
This was the focus of a guest lecture held on September 25, 2026, as part of Academic Integrity Week.
Topic of the meeting:
“Intellectual Property and Academic Integrity in the Era of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence”
The event was organized by the Department of Foreign Languages at the State Tax University.

During the lecture, participants did more than simply listen—they analyzed, discussed, and searched for answers to important questions:
- How can academic integrity be preserved in the digital environment?
- Where does an original idea end and borrowed content begin?
- How should ChatGPT and other AI tools be used responsibly?
- Can artificial intelligence support learning without replacing students’ own knowledge and effort?
Particular attention was paid to copyright, intellectual property, and the responsible use of technology. After all, AI can be a powerful assistant—but only when it supports human development rather than replacing it.
Artificial intelligence is changing the rules of the game. Yet the most important rule remains unchanged: think independently, act honestly, and take responsibility for your own results.
