On May 13, 2026, the Department of Management and Public Administration organized a round table discussion on the topic “Project Thinking in the Service Business: Challenges of the Time and the Formula of Leadership,” which brought together students, scholars, and representatives of the business community. The event was attended by academic staff of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Technologies, Sports and Rehabilitation, students majoring in “Management” within the educational program “Hotel and Restaurant Business Management,” as well as practitioners from the hospitality sector, event industry, and creative business sphere.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Nataliia Zykun, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Technologies, Sports and Rehabilitation, Doctor of Sciences in Social Communications, Professor, and Mykola Husyatynskyi, Head of the Department of Management and Public Administration, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor. The round table was moderated by Anastasiia Ivanova, a higher education student, and Nataliia Martynovych, Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Public Administration, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor.

Within the framework of the event, participants presented scientific and practical reports devoted to contemporary challenges in the development of the service business, event industry, grant activities, marketing communications, event management, and entrepreneurship development under transformational processes. Particular attention was paid to the role of project thinking in shaping a modern hospitality manager. During the discussion, it was emphasized that professionally oriented disciplines — advertising management, event management, creative management, catering, quality management, managerial decision-making, and others — develop students’ modern managerial vision, their ability to work under the conditions of a highly dynamic service sector, and their project implementation skills.
A separate section of the event was dedicated to students’ research activities. Participants presented the results of their own studies, which are already becoming the basis for future qualification papers and scientific publications. Symbolically, the round table was held on the eve of Science Day in Ukraine, becoming a platform for supporting youth scientific initiatives and promoting student research activities.

Representatives of the business community and industry stakeholders also joined the discussion:
- Oleksii Honcharov — entrepreneur, Founder and CEO of the smart restaurant “ZAvertai,” founder of a bread and bakery production business, regular participant in grant programs, and speaker at the Entrepreneurship Development Fund;
- Oksana Surovytska — Editor-in-Chief of the Nova Group media holding, founder of “Nova Kids Media School,” organizer of large-scale cultural and business events;
- Vitalii Saliamon — Acting President and Presidium Member of the NGO “All-Ukrainian Federation of Dance Sport and Breaking,” President of the “Adagio” dance club, organizer of official competitions and tournaments in the cities of Bucha and Irpin.

The round table became an important platform for professional dialogue between education, science, and business, contributing to the development of students’ research potential and to shaping a modern vision for the development of the service business in Ukraine. We sincerely thank all participants, speakers, stakeholders, academic staff, and students for their active participation, inspiring ideas, professional atmosphere, support, and unity.
