On 5 November 2026, the Department of Foreign Languages of the State Tax University held an international guest interactive lecture entitled “FROM IRELAND TO UKRAINE: UNITED BY THE SPIRIT OF RESILIENCE”, dedicated to the University’s 105th anniversary.
The guest speaker was John Connors — an Irish writer, historian, and volunteer who helps bring the truth about the Russian-Ukrainian war to the world’s attention.
The moderator was Liudmyla Volkova, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages.
The meeting focused on historical parallels, culture, the struggle for freedom, national identity, and international solidarity. Live communication in English and an interactive discussion brought participants together around the shared values of the Ukrainian and Irish peoples.
A special highlight was the presentation of the book “The Unbreakable State Tax University”, dedicated to the courage, resilience, and unbreakable spirit of the University community during the war.
The event marked another important step in strengthening international dialogue and demonstrated that solidarity, mutual support, and the pursuit of freedom know no borders.
105 years of history. An unbreakable community. Shared values and faith in victory!
Two countries. Shared values. One unbreakable spirit!
