On September 10-11, 2024, in the capital of the Republic of Moldova, Chișinău, the conference "Conference of the Community of Learning: Strategic Planning of PFM Trainings" took place, gathering representatives from different countries to discuss strategic directions for enhancing the qualifications of civil servants in the field of public finance.

The event was organized by the National Academy of Finance and Economics of the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands, with the aim of sharing knowledge and strengthening international cooperation in public finance. A crucial aspect of this program is the upskilling and training of civil servants in the financial sector, which will contribute to improving the quality of public finance management in various countries. The State Tax University was represented at the conference by Vice-Rector for Research Oleksandra Smirnova. She presented a report dedicated to the development of qualification enhancement programs in public finance at the State Tax University, as well as the establishment of a Professional Development and Communications Center within the university's public finance structure.

During her speech, Oleksandra Smirnova emphasized the importance of international cooperation in preparing specialists for effective management of public finances. She also noted that the participation of Ukrainian educational institutions in such international events is not only beneficial but also essential for integration into the global community and borrowing best practices to enhance professional development in the field of public finance.

Delegations from the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Moldova also participated in the event, providing a broad international context for discussing key issues. Participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss challenges related to meeting the training needs of employees in Ukraine's financial system.

The Vice-rector also held a number of working meetings with representatives of the Ministries of Finance and educational institutions from participating countries, during which they discussed opportunities for collaboration in developing professional development programs in the field of public finance and implementing new approaches to ensure systematic and effective lifelong learning for employees of Ukraine's financial system based on the best international cases.

Participation in the conference in Chișinău was another step for the State Tax University towards international cooperation and integration into the European educational space.
