Recently, students and teachers of the of the Institute of Law State Tax University took part in an open seminar on the topical topic of today: "The latest policy of the EU regarding Ukraine post - 2022".
Alina Nychyk, a research associate of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland), acted as a guest lecturer.
Ms. Alina has various experience of working in international companies (Hewlett Packard, Dreberis consulting), public organizations and European institutions. In addition to scientific activities, she is a public activist and deals with the issues of women's rights and opportunities, democracy and Ukraine's integration with the EU.
During the seminar, Alina Nychyk presented the results of her research on the formation of EU policy towards Ukraine, in particular, in the historical period immediately after the full-scale invasion. The debates that raged in the European institutions during the decision to grant Ukraine candidate status were separately analyzed, what role did the experience of implementing the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement, in particular, its trade part, play in them. The researcher also shared her experience of using in-depth semi-structured interviews as a research method in the field of international relations.
At the end of the meeting, students of higher education and teachers of the Institute of Law took an active part in the discussed topics of the open seminar. They asked questions and discussed with the researcher. Having received answers to all their questions, the audience thanked the lecturer for an interesting seminar and expressed their wishes for a new meeting.
