On 21–22 September 2026, a scientific audit was held at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) in Halle (Saale), Germany, with the participation of the Institute’s Scientific Advisory Board.
During the audit, IAMO presented a report covering its research achievements, implementation of research projects, publication activities, international cooperation, and strategic development priorities. The programme included discussions of the Institute’s performance, presentations by its three research departments, and a concluding meeting with IAMO’s Executive Board.
The report also highlighted the results of cooperation with the State Tax University, which was identified as one of IAMO’s international academic partners. In particular, it presented joint research activities focusing on sustainable agricultural development, ESG reporting, and the transformation of Ukrainian agribusiness.
A notable achievement was the inclusion of the State Tax University’s academic journal, Ukrainian Economic Journal, among the ten journals in which researchers from IAMO’s Department of Structural Change published most frequently during 2023–2025. The report also acknowledged the involvement of IAMO researchers in the journal’s editorial activities, alongside their contributions to other recognised academic journals.
Volodymyr Metelytsia, Doctor of Economic Sciences and Professor at the Department of Accounting and Auditing of the State Tax University, who also conducts research at IAMO, participated in presenting the results of the academic cooperation and introduced the Ukrainian Economic Journal.
The inclusion of the journal in the official audit report of a leading German research institute reflects the outcomes of sustained cooperation between the State Tax University and IAMO. This partnership contributes to advancing joint research, improving the quality of academic publications, and strengthening the visibility of Ukrainian economic research within the international academic community.
