Thanks to his successful participation in European Union programmes, Professor Volodymyr Metelytsia, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Senior Research Fellow and Professor of the Department of Accounting and Auditing at the Faculty of Taxation, Accounting and Auditing of the State Tax University, has been awarded a fellowship under the Philipp Schwartz Initiative of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. This programme is implemented with the support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany and aims to protect scholars in crisis situations.

Professor Metelytsia’s research is being carried out at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO), Halle (Saale), Germany, from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2027. This academic work continues the project launched within the MSCA4Ukraine programme, supported by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions research and innovation programme.

Research topic: “Adoption of Sustainability Reporting in the Agricultural Sector of Transition and Developed Economies (ASURE),” with a particular focus on Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction, European integration, access to international funding, and implementation of transparent reporting practices in line with EU requirements.

Within the framework of the project, Professor Metelytsia:

  • applies modern academic methods (including stakeholder interviews and choice analysis techniques);
  • actively collaborates with international researchers;
  • presents at leading academic conferences;
  • prepares publications for peer-reviewed journals;
  • and develops new academic courses for the State Tax University based on the research findings.
