Emiliia Dieniezhna is a journalist, editor, and communications specialist. Her education and experience span multiple fields, including journalism, translation, and relations between Ukraine and the European Union. Over the past ten years, she has collaborated with Ukrainian and international media, including the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung, the German media group Funke Media, and Ukrainian national television channels such as Ukraine, 112-Ukraine, and NTN. Currently, through a partnership with Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, she writes about German-Ukrainian partnerships at the community level. Previously, Emiliia completed an internship with Deutsche Welle’s Ukrainian editorial team in Bonn, where she prepared analytical pieces on politics and economics. Emiliia speaks three foreign languages: English, German, and French.
Emiliia obtained her first higher education at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where she graduated with a degree in English and German translation. In 2018, she completed her master's degree in Political and Administrative Studies at the College of Europe in Belgium. Her thesis focused on the portrayal of the European Union in Ukrainian media from 2014 to 2017.
