The State Tax University provides its students with unique opportunities to gain international experience through the Erasmus+ academic mobility program. One of the participants in this program is Yeva Leim — a second-year student of the Faculty of Finance and Digital Technologies, who is studying in the specialty 072 "Finance, Banking, Insurance and the Stock Market".
Yeva is studying in Vilnius at Vilniaus kolegija (VIKO) during the spring semester from February 3 to June 30, 2025. As part of the program, she is acquiring knowledge at the Faculty of Economics of the Lithuanian University, studying subjects such as:
- Business English
- Bank Audit and Control
- Statistics
- Finance Management
- Company and Bank Accounting
- Marketing
The first week at VIKO was dedicated to an orientation program that helped students get better acquainted with the university, the learning system, and numerous development opportunities. The university offers a wide range of student activities, including sports sections (football, basketball, volleyball, fitness, classes for girls, bachata dancing) and cultural events. In addition, during the orientation week, participants were informed about the most popular places in Lithuania and the national dishes.
The educational process at VIKO is marked by innovation and an interactive approach. Instructors use the multimedia system Moodle, which contains all necessary materials and assignments. Lectures are conducted using interactive whiteboards and projectors, making the learning process even more engaging. Students actively analyze data, complete assignments, and present the results of their research in the form of presentations.
"I am fascinated by the training presentation here, it is a really cool experience and incredible emotions," shares Yeva about her impressions. Her presentations especially impressed the instructors, who were interested in the design of the works and even asked how she created them.
The Erasmus+ program is a wonderful opportunity for students of the State Tax University to broaden their horizons, gain new knowledge and skills, and deepen cultural exchange with youth from different countries around the world.
