It is impossible to imagine modern life without literature. Even for those who do not count reading among their favorite pastimes, literary works are encountered every day: after all, a movie script, a magazine article, or a newspaper column is also the work of a writer.
March 3rd marks World Writer Day. The holiday was established by the decision of the 48th Congress of the International PEN Club in 1986. Since then, it has been celebrated annually in many countries around the world.
This day unites not only novelists but also journalists, historians, essayists, and bloggers – everyone who works with the power of the written word.
We sincerely congratulate the masters of the word on their professional holiday!
To mark World Writer Day, the Scientific Library of the State Tax University (Building C, Room 372) has prepared a book exhibition featuring literary works by Ukrainian authors from the library's collection: «Ukrainian Writers – Winners of the 'Coronation of the Word' Contest».
The exposition introduces readers to the works of contemporary Ukrainian authors – winners, laureates, and diploma holders of the «Coronation of the Word» literary contest, which discovers new names and supports the bright, bold voices of today.

We invite everyone interested to explore the materials of the book exhibition and its video accompaniment. We hope that each of you finds your own favorite writer.
