The Scientific Library of the State Tax University has received its third thematic collection of publications from the National Association of Researchers of the Holodomor-Genocide of Ukrainians within the framework of the large-scale Ukrainian project «Struggle for Consciousness» (The review of the second collection can be viewed here).

Launched in 2019 with the support of the «Prosvita» All-Ukrainian Taras Shevchenko Society, this project has united the efforts of scientists, educators, public figures, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and philanthropists to establish historical truth and form national memory. Today, its significance is of particular importance, as in the face of modern challenges and Ukraine's struggle for independence, historical truth becomes not only a scientific category but also a vital element of national security.

Collection Content and Significance

The donated books are the result of the dedicated work of scientists who researched the artificial famines and the genocide of the Ukrainian people. The collection includes:

  • Archival documents and testimoniesregarding the crimes of the totalitarian regime.
  • Scientific researchon the mechanisms used to destroy Ukrainian identity.
  • Materials on modern Russian aggression, drawing parallels between the terror of the past and the present day.

At a time when Ukraine is once again defending its freedom and its right to historical truth, these publications take on a special resonance. They not only preserve the memory of the past but also shape the consciousness of the modern generation, strengthen the resilience of society, and counter informational challenges.

We are convinced that these donated books will hold a worthy place in the library's collection, serving as a significant source for scientific and exploratory research, and contributing to the establishment of historical truth as the foundation of national identity.
