On April 18, the world celebrated the International Day of Monuments and Sites.

In Ukraine, this date is known as the Day of History and Culture Monuments, established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine in 1999

Ukraine is a state with deep historical roots, a rich culture, and unique monuments that are not only a matter of national pride but also a part of the world heritage. Here, every stone breathes history, and the landscapes fascinate even the most experienced travelers. Currently, there are 8 Ukrainian sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Due to Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, more than 1,700 objects of Ukraine's cultural heritage have already been damaged. Over 500 monuments have been completely destroyed. This number grows every day, leaving deep scars not only on Ukrainian soil but also on world culture.

Despite this, we do not lose faith; we continue to fight for our freedom, preserve our history, and create our future for the right to live freely, which is given to us from birth.
