On November 01, 2024, the Department of Criminal Justice and Analytical Activities of the Institute Economic Security and Customs plans to hold a scientific and practical seminar on “Using Modern Achievements of Science and Technology in the Fight against Crime” with the participation of practitioners of the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (Asset Recovery and Management Agency or ARMA).

The event will focus on the use of various scientific methods and technical developments in the search for assets derived from criminal activity.

Asset tracing and management specialists will introduce higher education students, research and teaching staff and all attendees to the practical aspects of identifying property that may be seized in criminal proceedings or in a case of recognizing unjustified assets and recovering them for the state.

The new knowledge gained by the seminar participants will expand and complement the competencies that higher education students develop during classroom training, will contribute to their further professional realization and will lay the foundation for cooperation between ARMA specialists and the academic staff of the Institute of Economic Security and Customs.
