On 3 July, the State Tax University and Asen Zlatarov University in Bulgaria, represented by Rectors Dmytro Serebrianskyi and Hristo Bozov, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The document provides for cooperation between the universities in many aspects, in particular in the areas of education and research, including the exchange of experience and scientific developments, participation in conferences and seminars, exchange of educational and scientific materials, as well as joint development and implementation of innovative projects.
One of the first events planned within the framework of the partnership is the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ukraine, Bulgaria, EU: Modern Trends in Science, Technology and Innovation", which will be held on 3-7 July 2023 at Prof. Dr Asen Zlatarov University.
The conference will provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and research on current trends in science, technology and innovation in Ukraine, Bulgaria and the European Union.
The agreement also provides for the organisation of an internship for Ukrainian scientists at Prof. Dr Asen Zlatarov University, which will allow Ukrainian students and scientists to gain valuable experience and knowledge from leading experts in their field.
The person responsible for ensuring effective cooperation from the State Tax University is Professor Nadiia Davydenko, Director of the Financial Policy Research Institute.
The Memorandum was also signed by Oleksandra Smirnova, Acting Vice-Rector for Research. According to her, the signing of this document is another important step in expanding the international cooperation of the State Tax University, which will result in the establishment of academic, scientific and cultural ties between the educational institutions.
For reference: Asen Zlatar University, founded in 1963, is the only state university in its region. It unites three faculties (Engineering, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences) and three colleges (Technical, Medical, and Tourism). The university has about 4,000 students.
