On 07.05.2025, a guest lecture «Current state of tax culture, tax literacy and tax compliance in the EU countries» was held for students and academic staff of the Lviv University of Trade and Economics and the West Ukrainian National University

This event was held within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module project: «Building sustainable interest in the EU tax culture through the introduction of educational, scientific and communication outreach activities targeting Ukrainian society»,  ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH

The speakers of the guest lecture were Olga Ivanyshyna, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Tax Administration of the Faculty of Taxation, Accounting and Audit of the State Tax University, project leader of the project, and Iryna Prokopenko,, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Tax Administration of the Faculty of Taxation, Accounting and Audit of the State Tax University, project manager.

The lecturers shared the experience of EU countries in shaping tax culture and partnerships between taxpayers and tax authorities.

At the end of the class, both students and lecturers took part in the discussion, noting that such lectures are extremely important for improving tax literacy and tax culture in general for all Ukrainian taxpayers.

The lecturers were invited to continue the course of lectures on this topic at universities, as the knowledge gained will contribute to improving tax literacy and the formation of a high tax culture and tax discipline in Ukraine in line with the European model.
