On 23.02.2024, an optional course was launched at the State Tax University: "Taxation and common tax policy of the EU" within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module "Formation of a sustainable interest in the EU tax culture through the introduction of educational, scientific and communicative awareness-raising activities, which will orient Ukrainian society toward" (Grant Agreement No. 101125984 - TIEU).

Lecturers of the Department of Tax Administration, Professor Volodymyr Andrushchenko and Associate Professor Tetyana Tuchak, held a lecture for applicants for higher education of the second (master's) level of full-time education in the specialty 071 "Accounting and Taxation" and 072 "Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market" of educational and professional programs: "Accounting and Taxation in Business Management", "State Audit; Forensic Economic Expertise in Financial Investigations", "Management Accounting and Business Analytics", "Tax Consulting", "Fiscal Administration".

The teachers focused the attention of the students on the purpose and objectives of the elective, the format of the classes, outlined the educational goals of the project. It is emphasized that the elective is designed to develop new competencies and generate new knowledge among students and trainees who will become agents of changes in the field of taxation, to promote the harmonization of national tax legislation with European standards in the context of Ukraine's acquisition of the status of a candidate for EU accession and the implementation of European integration steps.
